Forest therapy
Being surrounded by plants, trees and flowers can help humans thrive. The interest in this topic is finding more and more consensus and attention, considering our habitat of a new nature, completely in antithesis and adverse to our own nature, made up of greyness, pollution, concrete.
When walking or hiking in a natural environment such as a forest, park, seaside, lake or even a greenhouse, you are not simply engaging in clear physical exercise that determines the number one benefit, you are also surrounded by oxygen-producing organisms, which cannot be ignored. Impossible for anyone not to feel better after a walk in nature.
When our five senses are fully immersed in the natural world, the body's stress response is attenuated, which is similar to the kind of benefit derived from mindfulness practices and meditation.
The body's reactions after a beneficial trek in the woods are essentially about deep relaxation, improving cardiovascular health and strengthening the immune system.
